Autogen percentages: who knows them?

Featured Replies

AFAIK the defaults for autogen are 4500 per cell for trees and 3000 for buildings. Now I have set autogen to Normal: anything higher and my trees will give me trouble. But I'd like to have more buildings: they aren't that hard on my system. At the same time I want to keep the trees at Normal. So I wonder if anyone knows what the exact percentages are for each autogensetting. I mean, I pressume that setting it an Normal means you will see a specific percentage of 4500 and 3000. If I know these percentages I can set autogen to (for instanfce) Dense or Very dense (for the buildings) and after that add the value TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=???? to the cfg in order to keep autogen trees at the Normal amount. If you know what I mean. ;)So, anyone knows the EXACT percentages of the various autogensettings?

I couldn't find ANYTHING using Google... Maybe this is a big secret...?

Hello:Although your question appears to have FSX performance as part of its basis, since the latter part of your query seems to involve details of the FSX autogen scenery defaults, perhaps you might also post it in the AVSIM MSFS Scenery Design Forum:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=123or in the Scenery Design "Other" topics forum at:http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=37Hope this helps! :-) GaryGB
