Questions before getting into MSFS

Featured Replies

Steam. Mine is on a 1TB SSD which is just for MSFS and other games.

Is Steam still the way to go (vs. Marketplace)? Same question for add-ons - any advatange in getting them via the Marketplace?

Sufficient dedicated SSD size assuming I plan to get many add-ons (mostly airliners and airports)? For P3D 1 TB was sufficient.

Thanks for any feedback

If you already have Steam and are familiar with it, stick to Steam. If not, stick with Microsoft.

Marketplace is internal to the sim, so either way, you can choose to use it or not depending on the product. If you are not computer savvy, it's probably simpler to get products through the Marketplace. Sometimes there is a delay on the product being available on the Marketplace vs. from a website.

Like others have said, if you are going to go crazy with addons, recommend 2TBs (assuming money is not an issue).
