Hello, guys. Over the last year or so I've been contemplating a change in employment. Currently I work as a network administrator and telecom engineer, but I've always felt the desire to fly. I was curious for those who have gone the professional route what you think about your career choice and, as always, any advice you may offer to someone looking to join the industry?

It takes quite a bit of time and money to be invested along with your current job. Get your private and if you can enjoy it somewhat then I would say that it might be safe to continue. I'm getting my commercial now but I don't think I will be going into flying anymore as a career because it bores me to death on some of the 3 to 4 hour legs.
