FBW and FNX A320 Problems

Featured Replies

Hi,

Somebody please help. I simply can't get the FSUIPC/LINDA combination to work with neither FBW A320 or Fenix A320.

Even the simplest binding of a switch to e.g. Beacon ON does not work.

I have the latest version of both FSUIPC (7.3.6) and LINDA (4_1_5_289). FSUIPC.INI and FSUIPC_WASM.ini are modified as described in the LINDA downloads section. Also latest LINDA aircraft modules are installed.

The fsuipc-lvar-module is in the Community folder.

I am starting MSFS, LINDA & FSUIPC in the sequence also described here with LvarScanDelay=60 (FSUIPC_WASM.INI), as well as the other additions to FSUIPC.INI.

In P3D is was a peace of cake - I know it was a completely different setup - but??

What am I missing - some lua related entries in FSUIPC.INI or?

By the way I'm on Windows 10 Pro and MSFS 2020 1.26.5.0.

Hi Soren

Thank you for the report. You are correct that MSFS is not as easy to setup as P3D/FSX. It is a different beast and uses a completely different interface.

I will need to see the logs and other files to see what is not working, please read and follow the Fault Diagnosis Procedure (under LINDA Support) and email the logs and FSUIPC7.ini

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your mail.

It made me go into 'debug' mode dumping the LINDA2.LOG (which I should have done before reporting my problem) and there was an error related to a missing CONFIG_HID.LUA in the MSFS Default Aircrafts folder.

Once corrected I can now make switch bindings for the FNX A320 work. I have to try with the FBW A320 as well, but I guess the missing file was the root cause, so it will work here as well. If not I'll be back 😁.

Again thanks for the hint.

@Swolski the config-hid.lua configuration file is only created with you first assign a function to a joystick button. This is done to ensure that users' existing configurations are not overwritten. The default assignments are available to all aircraft and are displayed in green.

I have just published a LINDA MSFS guide under LINDA Support.
