Combine axis

Featured Replies

Hi!

Is there a way to combine the output of two axis into a single “virtual” axis using AAO?

Im trying to use a set of racing pedals as rudders, but the accelerator and the clutch on the pedals have their own axis, and since you cannot set “rudder left axis” and “rudder right axis”, but only a single rudder axis, I want to combine them into a single virtual axis. So, if I press the clutch full down the virtual axis would be 0%, when pressing the accelerator down if will be 100%, and when not pressing any pedals (or both full down) it will be 50%.

I use another piece of software that can do this, but would like to use AAO if possible so I don’t have to fire up the additional software every time I want to fly.

Not sure, but can't you assign both pedals to the rudder axis event and adjust Axis Min and Axis Max so each assignment covers only one half of the rudder travel?

So both pedals would be assigned to AXIS_RUDDER_SET, and for the left one you set Axis Min -16838 and Axis Max 0, while the other is assigned to the same event and Axis Min is 0 and Axis Max is +16383. Or some combination of that.
