July 27, 20223 yr Dear Everyone, Hope you are doing well. I've a issue with Linda, as is not saving the the keys that I set at the system, however... looking at the files everything looks okay. I've the lastest version of Linda, FSUIPC also the lastet version and I'm testing with the A320 FlyByWire, lastest version too. In P3D this never had happened to me. If you can bring me some info at the end of the this tunnel, I'll be so happy. Kind Regards Roberto
July 27, 20223 yr I am not sure I understand what you mean by saving keys. Does this refer to key presses to interact with the sim? Can you give me an example of what you can trying to achieve? I assume you are using MSFS2020. Andrew Gransden Scotland, UK LINDA Support/Developer - VATSIM and BAVirtual - Airbus Flyer i7 1TB SSD GTX980 - FSX/P3D - Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 - FS2Crew
July 27, 20223 yr Author Dear @ScotFlieger, thanks for the help. Affirm, everything is related to the MSFS, so what I tried is to save the assignments of my Joystick (X-56) with the FlightByWire module at Linda. I save the assignment of a key, and see if it works and is not. Then I tried to restart LINDA and the key that I assigned before, was unsigned, it was empty. Checking the files, there are some new data saved inside them, but not at Linda. Thanks again for your help. Kind Regards Roberto
July 27, 20223 yr Do you mean key (as in keyboard) or button (on joystick)? What function or key are you assigning and trying to save? Andrew Gransden Scotland, UK LINDA Support/Developer - VATSIM and BAVirtual - Airbus Flyer i7 1TB SSD GTX980 - FSX/P3D - Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 - FS2Crew
July 27, 20223 yr Author Dear @ScotFlieger, Joystick, so I assigned one button from the Joystick to a function with Linda, I tried several functions like turn on the lights, battery, etc. and nothing works. Is strange because I’ve the version of P3D and with that sim, everything is working as expected. let me know if you need anything else. Kind Regards Roberto
July 27, 20223 yr Can you email the config-hid.LUA file from /FSUIPC7/LINDA-cfg/aircrafts/FBWA32NX/. Send to LINDA @ awginfosys.net. Andrew Gransden Scotland, UK LINDA Support/Developer - VATSIM and BAVirtual - Airbus Flyer i7 1TB SSD GTX980 - FSX/P3D - Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 - FS2Crew
July 27, 20223 yr Author Dear @ScotFlieger, I just send the email. Thanks for your time. Kind Regards
July 28, 20223 yr Hi Robert The config-hid.lua file you emailed shows the FBW A320 A32nx_OVHD_ELEC_BAT1_toggle and A32nx_OVHD_EXTLT_LAND_Both_toggle functions assigned to your X-56 Throttle. I have assigned the same functions to my TM A320 Joystick and these work correctly for me. What does the LINDA Joystick page look like? Do these function appear on the page? Do the corresponding lines highlight when you press the buttons (Buttons 18 and 19)? Can I get you to try assigning the functions to your X-56 stick? Additionally, check the Setup Joysticks page. What serial numbers in square brackets '[]' appears against the X-56 devices (VID/PID 0738A2210 and 073822210)? There appears to be an anomaly in the X-56 throttle serial number. The config-hid.lua shows serial number ko019395 with a letter 'o' not a number '0' as with the X-56 stick. Send me a screenshot. Let me know as I have a possible fix for the last item. July 28, 20223 yr Author Dear @ScotFlieger, Thanks for the answer. 1 hour ago, ScotFlieger said: What does the LINDA Joystick page look like? Do these function appear on the page? Do the corresponding lines highlight when you press the buttons (Buttons 18 and 19)? Yes, the LINDA program is working, I can set new function to the different buttons of my Joystick without any problem. And Indeed, it highlights the correct one when I press the button. 1 hour ago, ScotFlieger said: Can I get you to try assigning the functions to your X-56 stick? I did a test with the X-56 Stick, and voila, it works without any issue so looks like the problem is at the Throttle. Let me know if you need anything else, I can do also a video in case you need. Once again, thanks for your time Andrew. Kind Regards Roberto
July 28, 20223 yr Hi Roberto Thank you for the answers. I would like you to edit 2 files. Both are named config-hid.lua: one is in the /aircrafts folder and one in the /systems folder. Search for string 0738A2210 then find serial number ko019395 and change to K0019395 (replace letter 'o' with digit '0'). Save both edited files and click Reload LUA Engine on LINDA. Confirm that the corrected serial number now appears in Setup Joystick and whether the correct functions now appear on your throttle Joysticks page. July 28, 20223 yr Author Dear @ScotFlieger, So, I did what you told me. However, the assignments still not working and the only one that works was the Seat Belts Toggle with the Fuel Pumps, the rest that I've assigned are not working. This is quiet strange because with LINDA at P3D is working without any issue, so is not the throttle or the hardware. Not sure what is the problem now, I'll try to reinstall again the FSUIPC and the LINDA just in case. Kind Regards Roberto
July 28, 20223 yr There is nothing strange about it. LINDA 4.1.x for MSFS (with FSUIPC7) is a totally different beast to LINDA 3.3.x for P3D (with FSUIPC6). There were many changes required for MSFS. If some functions are working correctly and some not then I suggest you read again the notes under LINDA 4.1.x and FBW A32NX downloads and the post I made under LINDA Support on working with MSFS. You need to check that FSUIPC7/LINDA are seeing all the available Lvars and that the Hvar and .EVT files are correct. Ensure that you are seeing around 1450 to 1500 Lvars and 220 Hvars for the FBW A32NX on the LINDA Tracer page. July 30, 20223 yr Author Dear @ScotFlieger, I want to let you know that after new installation of FSUIPC and Linda, now everything is working as expected. The only thing that I did difference, was to install at the C Disk, instead of where the simulator is installed. Once again thanks for your time during the last days. Kind Regards
July 31, 20223 yr I have basically the same issue. I'm using LINDA with the Fenix A320 and an Airbus FCU. All the assignments with the FCU are working fine but the assignment to joystick buttons are not working. When I assign a function to a joystick button it doesn't have any effect. And when I restart LINDA alle the joystick button assignments are gone. I reinstalled FSUIPC and LINDA but that didn't resolve the issue.
July 31, 20223 yr @3than what joystick are you using? Have you tried assigning functions to another device and saving? Andrew Gransden Scotland, UK LINDA Support/Developer - VATSIM and BAVirtual - Airbus Flyer i7 1TB SSD GTX980 - FSX/P3D - Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 - FS2Crew
