How to fix issues with the LittleNavmapOFMTheme

Recommended Posts

This is a hint if you use the LittleNavmapOFMTheme which allows to use the open flightmaps service in LNM and see back squares on the map.

You have to adapt the text file openflightmaps.dgml for each new (monthly?) OFM release.

Replace the query="path=2203/base/latest" with query="path=2207/base/latest" or similar depending on the latest cycle. You have to do this two times in the file and clear the map cache for OFM in LNM. Best way to do this is to delete the folder openflightmaps which is located here on Windows: C:\Users\alex\AppData\Local\.marble\data\maps\earth\openflightmaps. See here for the path on other operating systems: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/FILES.html#disk-cache

You can also change the expire="1209600" (value in seconds - means two weeks in cache) to expire="86400" (one day in cache) or less to avoid the cache clearing.

I got the google satellite group of maps fixed, thanks.  I see open flight maps is designed for Europe -- at least those are the regions that show up on their web page.  Still black background when trying to view the US but I can live without those for now.  I need to see if 2205 is the current release.   Also got the sectionals etc working.

Using LNM with MSFS 2020 and currently the PMDG 737-700 on Windows PC

Had the same problem here with black display. To find out the  current AIRAC go to

https://www.openflightmaps.org/ed-germany/

or any other region and you find the correct number on the right top corner of the website. Currently AIRAC 2213.

Hope that helps to easily find the correct number.
