Blurries & framerates strangeness

I am generally satisifed with FSX but like most I have the type 2 blurries. Not bad but noriceable. I've also noticed that when FSX starts, occasionally my startup flight (windowed mode) will show extremely low "slide show" type framerates not the usual 19 - 20 (maxed at 20) that I usually get.Over the weekend, for some reason, when FSX started at 2.9fps I toggled full screen with ALT-ENTER - FPS immediately jumped 19.5. Toggled back to windowed at the fPS stayed up. During the flight, I noticed hat the blurries were not as bad, the textures were drawing faster than usual.During several more tries at different times, every time the FPS started out low, toggling ALT ENTER caused an immediate jump and was stable after that.Haven't the faintest idea if this means anything at all but wanted to note it JIC it might help someone else.System: P4/3.4/2gDDR/Nvidia 7600 GS/512 PCIx/9420 driver/XPPro SP2/FSX SP1. I find that loud cursing and threatening the computer with a sledge hammer helps.
