August 11, 20223 yr I downloaded a new version of a StreamDeck profile from internet and it comes with the corresponding group of scripts for AAO. What is the correct procedure to update this script group with the new version? Do I have to delete the old version and import the new one again or the import will overwrtite the existing one, automatically adding new scripts and updating existing ones? If I have to delete the old one, would that break any existing assignments for Axis and Buttons? MSFS 2020 Windows 10-64 Home Intel i9-9900K @ 4.7 GHz OC NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 RAM 32.0 GB
August 11, 20223 yr Commercial Member Only the author really knows how to best update his creations; if it is required to delete the previous ones or not. Technically it is not necessary, but one can never know. Take a good look at the installation instructions that hopefully come with the profile. If the scripts didn't change their IDs, AAO will ask you if you want to overwrite them when you import the file. If the author did change the IDs, then they are treated as new scripts.
