I'm exporting some scripts and am seeing <edition> tags on each script. Is this needed?/is there any way to export without these?

When you edit the script text so it has line breaks, different fonts or colors etc., then the "edition" is what stores that information. If you remove it and import the script again, then the code is in one single unbroken line. 

Initially scripts were exported without the edition. But some script authors protested, since that meant that all their formatting was gone too. So here we are...

I see! Interesting. I did click the 'remove formatting' button on the editor and re-exported, but it still had the <edition> data. 

Anyway, thanks for the insight; i'll remove and re-import.
