Problems With Downloads From FSD

Recommended Posts

Thanks for comments Dave, greatly appreciated. Yes, I did a system restore straight away. Just a comment on that, the computer man told me that the registry was made corrupt when I tried, in desperation, to restore the system using a restore point back before SP1. This upgrade aparently replaced a lot of the original registry entries, etc(it's all above me!!!). Definately a no no he says. However, this might be helpful to others to act with caution.

They open up ports; maybe the ports are not getting opened.

Hi Barry, "Did they just do a complete reinstall from scratch." Because he kept getting the message "cannot find the source" he couldn't do that but had to delete and reload seveal items again before he could get to load FSX again. Took him a full day to resolve it....Sorry I'm not into the technicalities of it all so I could better explain but do hope that you eventually get things sorted out. "virus here in Perth"...never, a beautiful place..spent lot of time there and south of Perth when we caravanned around Oz a couple of years ago. I was born in Dalwallinu. Regards Don
