PMDG 737 and dev mode?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'll make this short. Just bought the PMDG 737 and I was watching the official PMDG installation guide while installing. They mentioned that you should not load the PMDG 737 in dev mode at first launch (otherwise you can loose up to 75 % performance).

Now, I had my devmode turned on from previous testing (use it to test performance and such), so I STARTED the sim in devmode, when the PMDG 737 was already installed, however I did turn it off before I launch and then proceeded to restart the sim (just in case, I guess) and load the PMDG 737. I didn't notice anything unusual..

Am I good?

Thank you all 🙂

Yeah you're good. What is meant is, you shouldn't use the quick WASM compile option in dev mode to launch the plane.  If you just have dev mode turned on, but you load the plane normally, there will be no difference to if you have dev mode off.

"Dev mode on" does nothing but enable the menu. It doesn't cause the sim to run differently in any way, unless you use some of the options in that menu.

Awesome information @Stearmandriver! Much appreciated.

Yeah I thought as much, but you can never be too sure.. I just didn't want to mess anything up 🙂
