I don't think that this is possible. It would probably require a separate Bridge program like with the MCP. Those are next to impossible to make, because VRI doesn't publish any specs about the means of communication that their devices use. And they never reply when you ask them. Making the existing MCP Bridge "in the blind" took a lot of effort and it was very expensive. I'm not doing that again, sorry.

Hi

so u said that will be impossible also map the simple switch and button command? I hope in advance that bridge was usefull also for overhead because goes with compo and panel from vri...

I had try to set some overheads command using my tca airbus from thrustmaster and no problem at all so , if I understand i can't see my overhead like external hardware?

The Bridge program is only for the VRI MCP II Boeing. Nothing else will work with it (except maybe for the Airbus MCP II, that might work a little bit). Every VRI device seems to have different protocols, and since there is no documentation for them, it is next to impossible to make them work in any way.

Sorry, but I have no idea what kind of device that overhead is. If it has a USB Joystick interface inside, then AAO can see the buttons. But the VRI devices that I know don't have that, they have a proprietary serial interface, using a different protocol for each device. So AAO can't see them. That is why the Bridge program had to be made for the MCP. And that Bridge only exists as a favor to a fellow simmer. As stated on the AAO website, every download there is a leisure project of mine, and not part of the retail AAO application that you buy in the shops.

But as I said - I have no idea what is inside that Overhead. If it sends standard joystick events, AAO will see them. If it works like the other VRI stuff, they won't work unless someone writes a Bridge program specifically for that device.

Really clear. Finding in vrinsight website seems to be possible done something thru fsuipc and with their program insert the command for interface it with mfs2020 but it is a bet i suppose....

I belive was great if someone here or over in other forum could confirm me if ovh will be seen like a joystik after connect by usb ...

I've just taken a look at the VRI manuals (available online) for the A320 and 737 Overheads. Both are using their Serial USB driver and not joystick technology. Makes sense too, since the standard joystick protocol doesn't have a feedback channel to control LEDs or displays on the external device. Neither device will work with AAO without a Bridge.
