October 8, 20223 yr Simulated pilots young and old who find themselves aviating in the airspace of Northern California may be delighted to know that the next phase of NorCal airport improvements is now available. The dedicated - if arguably misguided - staff of Foozle Aerospace have lovingly crafted a facsimile of O09, Round Valley Airport. Nestled alongside Big Rock Creek within the beautiful and aptly-named Round Valley, O09 is a convenient 1.5 miles West of the bustling metropolis of Covelo in Mendocino County, California (population 1,394). This offering replaces the vast, empty expanses of concrete and asphalt previously neglected by Asobo and Blackshark AI with completely recrafted aprons, taxiways, parking, runway with correct displaced threshholds and lighting, repositioned beacon that no longer inexplicably blocks the approach to R28, fuel facilities and, in an obvious affirmation of the concept "Trust but Verify", no less than 3 windsocks. Sadly, as this is only my second scenery project, I', still working to come up to speed with Blender modeling and texturing and thus could not yet replicate the single "Tee" hangars at the real airport and which are so ubiquitous at many other airports, so stock Asobo hangars and other scenery objects are used, at least ensuring low impact to frame rates. Local terrain is quite scenic but not overly challenging, with nearby rising hills and forestland to the airfield's NorthWest side, so pilots will need to use caution when departing Runway 28 or approaching Runway 10. Oh and did I mention this is free for cryin' out loud so why am I trying so hard to sell it to you. Just grab it here if you please, we do appreciate your business : https://flightsim.to/file/41606/o09-round-valley-airport-covelo-ca Covelo "Fast facts": Pop singer/songwriter Michelle Lambert is a native Covelonian Covelo has many cows "That's what" - She
