compass

When flying in external mode  in MSFS I used to see the compass in the upper left segment of my monitor ;  now it has disappeared .  How  do I get it back?

Under Assistance Options, look at the setting choices for Instrument Heads Up Display - Chase Cam.  See if that is what you are looking for.
