How is FeelThere's 737 PIC in FSX

Featured Replies

I only fly planes that work in multiplayer/shared cockpit and don't give any performance issues. For me, the PIC 737 and Flight1 MD80 are the only two I fly, and recomend both.XP Pro SP2-FSX SP2AMD FX60-8800GTS-2 Gigs RAMFEX-GEX-UTUSA-FSGenesis-and a bunch of other stuffComputer optomized by www.fs-gs.com

For what it's worth:I have almost no experience in very advanced sim jetliner use, but recently I began using the 737-PIC and have been surprised by it. I do not have a top-of-the-line system, and I can tell you that while there is a small frame hit, but it is not like the frame hit you will experience with other advanced aircraft.I am able to comfortably fly this aircraft in a single-core machine with sliders at a reasonable level (for me.)I don't really like to fly airliners that much ... but I find myself enjoying this experience. I'm especially liking the experience I'm getting with the CDU and flying with a flight management system. From this uninitiated "pilot" ... I have to say that I'm impressed with the information that this little computer display gives you.Operated properly, it provides you with a lot of information that you want to know throughout your flight (something I really didn't know that it did).Things like your programmed course (obv) but other subtle things like predicting when you're going to hit the altitude you've set on the autopilot and displaying that on your moving map so that you can set an appropriate rate of descent. That level of detail impressed me.It suggests the appropriate altitude for you for your selected approach, and while I don't think it has STARS, it does offer a selection of approaches into a given airport and these automatically program your missed approach procedure and put it on the map for you. As I said, I don't fly these types often, so I have no idea how it compares with other advanced FMSs on the market. And I'm certainly no expert with the thing at this point, but I can recommend it to anyone interested in learning how the pros use their flight management systems.Cheers,
