I have been using FSX since 2011 and on Windows 7.  When I purchased a new computer in late 2016,  I still used windows 7 and the same FSX disc from the era. Since 2011 to at least 2016 with trouble shooting issues.  I had to deal with many problems and fixes over that period with FSX, add on aircraft and CDT's etc..  Well,  I had to get a new computer again but FSX is not compatible on this new Windows 10 system, so I purchased and downloaded FSX Steam.  I don't want to use MSFS 2020 because all my add ons, which there are many, (airports and aircraft) are not compatible with 2020.  So I purchased and downloaded FSX Steam. (took 15 hours to download) .Well, just about all my problems I had to deal with from 2011 to 2016 are back and I am going to have to go through with it all over again. 

My question is.I noticed AVISM now has a policy these topics cannot be asked in AVISM because they are "off topic".  I am a little confused.  I have not used AVISM in at least 6 years because I have been lucky in not having issues with FSX, except for CDT's on long flights with PDMG aircraft on final approach, but that's it.

When you say "These Topic cannot be asked" What topics are you talking about?  The FSX/FSX-SE forum is where you want to ask your questions.

Okay,  Thanks for the information!  Strange though, nothing in the "search" shows up.  Nothing for FSX.
