Moving AAO to a New Pc

Featured Replies

Hi there..I have a new machine and FS2020 installation, and I wanted to copy the AAO templates, AND joystick button assignments to the new machine...I tried exporting the templates and importing, which gave me no joystick  assignments on the new machine.

is this possible to do..ie make the new machine AAO look like the old one?  the FS2020 installation is a direct copy from Steam installation, and all works well except AAO..

Thanks !

For one, AAO has a backup and restore feature in the "Tools" menu. The backup file is created here as a simple XML: \Documents\LorbyAxisAndOhs Files
I would copy that entire folder to the same place on the new computer. This carries over all Gauges and extra script files - and the backup file too, which you can then restore on the new computer.

If you want to do it manually, copy the folders \AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhs* to your new computer (there can be more than one if you installed different copies for different sims).
