Vavated Runway

Featured Replies

Hi there,

VoxAtc can´t understand the phrase "vacated runway". Answer is always followed by "pass your message" by the contoller.

Knows anyone a solution?

firstly, my lengthy experience with VATC is limited to heavies in asia-pacific skies using the co-pilot function ..... with which vacated runway is accepted after handoff by tower to ground (about 50m or so clear of the runway strip).

so i am not sure if that is what one may need to say in other skies &/or at non-controlled airports and perhaps with VFR procedures.

VATC has various options/phraseology for different countries & for different airspace classes ....... FAA vs ICAO etc and as influenced in "VAsettings.xml" in your AppData folder.

The best way to "confirm" what needs to be said is seen in "recog.log" file also in your AppData folder .... which is compiled at each initialise specific to the flight loaded (and which can be checked/printed before your first contact with ATC)

Hope this helps .... remember VATC knows your position & hence when you are in its "mind" clear of the runway & thus when VATC will accept this call.

for now, cheers
