Aerobask Falcon 8X

Featured Replies

Just checking in on the 8X progress and notice the Aerobask site is totalled revamped. Far fewer aircraft for sale and absolutely no signs of the 8X WIP. Any insight? Hopefully 3 years of development has not been abandoned.

It seems it also disappeared from the xplane forum!

The hours of development in this model are staggering! Just so surprised it does not get more exposure assuming it will be released.

I don't know if you've noticed, but we've moved to XP12. This obviously generated a lot of work for Aerobask regarding the (free) migration of part of their existing fleet (fairly new aircraft to the current Aerobask quality standard and a SASL shell recent enough to be compatible with XP12). Plus with the frequent evolutions of the XP12 beta version, this added even more work. Aerobask is a very small team ( https://aerobask.com/team.php ) and they are dealing with these frequent changes in XP12. Also under XP12 they released the "Viperjet eX", dedicated to XP12. Other new productions for XP12 are under development...
In these conditions the Falcon 8X was not the priority during this XP12 migration period. This migration is underway and it is not finished. The Falcon 8X is still under development, it's a very big job. Almost everything in the aircraft is fully coded by Aerobask (Yoyoz). Like the real one, it will be based on the EASy 3rd generation system and this system does not exist at Laminar.
