Meta Oculus Quest 2 w FlyInside

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I am having a problem running a PC based game Flight Simulator X Steam edition using FlyInside through Air Link. I have done the following.

1.  Run "Oculus Home" on your PC
2.  Go to "Settings" in the left-hand column
3.  Choose the "General" tab
4.  Make sure "Unknown Sources" is enabled
Here are the issues:

  1. I can see the FSX SE splash scream in the goggle view and it indicated in the lower left corner FSX Loading... and it just hangs at that point. In one session I was able to control the PC FSXSE window view with turning the goggles, but again nothing in the VR goggles, just the FSXSE loading splash screen.
  2. One other note, is I have Go Flight Inc controls, which causes you to answer a prompt to load the utility software as FSX SE loads.  I have Active Sky weather networked which caused a load prompt as well.
  3. I did see the FSX Inside prompt to press a joystick button. I pressed the Oculus Quest 2 controller main OK button and it cleared the screen and moved on.  Was I supposed to press a joystick button connected to the PC?? I have the CH Products Yoke and Pedals.
  4. The Yoke and Pedals I want to use with the goggles on and use the hand tracking to control cockpit interaction.
  5. When I loaded Quest Airlink, it seems like the hand tracking went away, and I can only use the hand controllers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
