December 31, 20223 yr Hi all, I have the opportunity to buy a used 9900k cpu. My Left view pc currently has 8700k cpu running @ 5 GHz GHz. GPU is a 3090. 4K. When banking I sometimes see small stutters so perhaps the 2 extra cores might help with faster terrain loading. This is the last upgrade possible before buying a new cpu/mobo. Anyone upgraded from a 8700k to a 9900k ? What was your experience regarding performance? December 31, 20223 yr Same upgrade 18 months ago, from i7 8700k @5ghz to I9 9900 @5.2ghz with 3080ti. More few fps (4/5) and no more stutters setting everithing ULTRA and Terrain LOD max 140/150 even panning and banking. If i set TLod 180/200 begin stutters. There are some mods that cause stutters (and micro stutters) without decreusing FPS: mods with birds, power lines and solar farms, Taburet lights and roads....
