  1. From community manager; Thanks for your reports about this Live Weather outage. We have escalated internally, and our team has determined the cause to be an issue with an upstream data provider. We are currently working with that provider’s support team now to resolve this outage. We appreciate your patience. Thanks, MSFS Team The outage with Live Weather today was caused by an issue with an upstream data provider and is outside of our direct control. Our teams have escalated to the support team of this data provider so they can restore normal service as quickly as possible. Thanks, MSFS Team
  2. I think your analysis has already answered your question. Stay with 2020. I would never buy a new product because it's on sale when I'm happy with the "old" one, which isn't that old after all. The 2024 sale is worth it only if you love VFR flying and hiking. If, however, you love IFR flying, a smooth flight experience, and clarity in high-altitude flights, I recommend 2020. Even in the latest Development livestream, the Microsoft/Asobo team reported that they're still fixing issues that existed since launch and that, in terms of new features, they'll be stuck for the rest of 2026. Furthermore, they made it clear that in some areas, 2020 is better than 2024. Or at least before deciding on the upgrade I would wait for the su5 release, which should solve the fluidity ( Vram use) but at that point the discount will most likely no longer be available
  3. The best marketing is that which makes it seem bigger than it really is.
  4. Aside from the details of the plane, either the video is poorly made or 2024 environement/textures needs to improve. The scenes look like they're from a cartoon or an AI-generated video.
  5. Dynamic framegen and MFG x6 are out ! DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation & Multi Frame Generation 6X Available Now
  6. Probably many people are buying msfs at $24 because in the last few days there are more users in 2020 than in 2024 according to data from simplayerstats.😜
  7. In 2024 Microsoft itself recommended Windows 10 even though Windows 11 had already been released for some time, I don't understand why it doesn't update the table... Maybe because for Gaming Windows 10 remains the best choice? https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12702272798364-Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-2024-FAQ Or maybe someone found an updated table somewhere that recommends win11?
  8. The perfect settings for 5080 at 2k and 4k. I tried cap 100 FPS with Riva Tuner, 100mhz monitor refresh, DLAA preset K with 4x Multi frame generation in 4k resolution, 5080 is a monster, i can fly Fenix a320 in every situations and payware airports without problem in MSFS2020
  9. New update DLSS 310.5.2 The main change is the correct operation of automatic preset selection when using the "Always use latest" flag via NVIDIA Profile Inspector or the official app NVIDIA App DLSS accurately detects and applies the appropriate presets for various scenarios: from modes Performance и Ultra Performance to Balanced, Quality и DLAAThis eliminates the need to manually select profiles for each mode, entrusting this task to the driver's automation.
  10. There is a lot of confusion, which is why NVIDIA itself has intervened to clarify things. https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-wants-gamers-to-pick-the-right-dlss-4-5-model-preset-for-their-rtx-gpu
  11. It wouldn't surprise me anymore if a news like this appeared Microsoft has announced that after Xbox and PlayStation, the next milestone will be the Nintendo WIFI console. 🤣😜
  12. Would you buy a new flight Sim with that many issues when you already own state-of-the-art hardware?
  13. I'd like to upgrade to 2024 and I'm following the feedback, that's all. So I'm asking you too, @jonathanC. Have the bugs with blurry textures and the LOD (terrain and textures) system been fixed?
  14. Thank you for your answer. I was hoping it had been resolved by su4 to move to 2024 I don't know how those who spent 3k 4k €/$ to have 4k graphics can tolerate this bug of 2024. I think I'll stick with 2020
  15. Are the LOD and blurrie textures fixed?
  16. 1. Fenix A320 2. MADDOGX 3. PMDG 737-700
  17. What about performance on arrival airports, stutters yet? Some user has noticed a worsening of the cloud graphics: Is that the case? Thanks
  18. Updated latest version TRaffic Manager 1.3.7.2 and updated liveries/flightplans , it seams the AIG team fix the issue of LATAM pink textures
  19. I experienced the same issue, even after several traffic manager update. Can you post any fix here, please? Thanks
  20. Sorry, I meant "My system will never drop to 25fps" Original post corrected
  21. I'm still testing both 3x and 4x multi frame generation. 4x has been working perfectly lately, thanks in part to the latest NVIDIA drivers that have improved multi frame generation management. With my settings, a raw 33fps as a baseline for reaching 100fps with 3x MFG is at the limit. It can happen that during peak traffic hours, with dense clouds and reduced visibility in the example scenario mentioned, I get to raw 30fps, and in this case, stuttering and lag begin. In various tests, I've noticed that my system will never drop to 25fps , so a baseline of 25fps to reach 100fps with 4x MFG is the ideal solution. 30fps as a base is 2x frame generation to reach 60fps locked to the monitor refresh 60Hz is perfection in terms of fluidity (intended as the absence of stuttering and not as the scrolling of the images). When you experiment with higher frequencies like 100Hz you feel like you're really flying (sometimes your head spins) and your eye never wants to go back to 60Hz. Even better would be 120fps at 120Hz, but my system with my ultra settings doesn't allow it. I know, I can be obsessive, but I try to exploit every single fps to get the best graphics and fluidity for a very satisfying flight simulation experience with MSFS2020.
