Geez, i thought all bad things come in three.. Guess that doesnt go anymore, Just read a dozen people killed in Iran due to a fire after the crew lost control of the aircraft upon landing when one or more tires(s) blew. Another typ-154 involved this time an Iran Tours :(

Not counting the Comair crash - there were 136 reported accidents / incidents - including 13 other fatal crashes / incidents in the US in the last two weeks of August.22 people - not counting the Comair group - died in those crashes. Don't have the time to count the reported injuries.That is about normal.We've also had several incidents this year involving commercial passenger aircraft which had a high potential to be major crashes - but were not.
