Getting support from Honeycomb?

Featured Replies

Anyone have tips on how to get support from Honeycomb?  I have a Bravo that is about 2-3 months from being out of warranty, not very heavy use, and just noticed "button 10" i.e. the Boeing style reverser switch on 3rd axis from the left or the red button on the Airbus style throttles is no longer working.  Nothing seems damaged or dirty with the contact and the handles both work fine on the other axis locations.  I submitted a ticket through their website a week ago and haven't heard anything back even a "we're overloaded and will get to you asap" or something.  I caved and signed up for their zendesk site and saw my ticket in there and it just says "Open" with nobody assigned to it.  Tried to call, chose the tech support option, and the phone just range forever.

Anyone have any ideas here?  It's now been two weeks since submitting a ticket to them with no response.  They don't answer the phone, and an email to the address listed on their website just simply created another ticket.

Just to update, first I had a negative response from them (i.e. a response, but not acceptable).  The agent has since replied that they are relatively new and gave me incorrect information.  I'm cautiously optimistic that this might actually get resolved.

Did you get your issue fixed?
My Bravo has issues with the ToGa buttons on axes 1 and 2, and reverser does not work on axis 2.
I am fairly sure this is because the wires inside have been cut because of wear. Unless Honeycomb is willing to extend the warranty I probably will have to learn how to solder and fix it myself.

I did finally get it fixed.  Took well over a month+ to get it replaced under RMA (I had 3 months left on original warranty when I contacted them).  I had to send the entire original unit and accessories back to them, then they sent me a brand new retail unit.  Supposedly they've modified the design internally from my original model to prevent the wiring issue so we'll see.  Either way, not planning to buy anything from them again any time soon until I hear that their customer service in the US has improved.

Good that you got it fixed. Mine started to have issues just after the warranty period and it looks like I have to try and repair it myself.
Their customer service in the US might be bad but elsewhere it seems to be non-existant. According to a video on Youtube, the cabels connected to the buttons on the levers are prone to break and unless Honeycomb has improved this on newer models it is likely most will have these issues after a while. If you are lucky it will be within the warranty period and otherwise you either have to repair it yourself or get a new one.

I probably will have to accept that the Toga and thrust reverse buttons do not work; there are still the buttons on the bottom end of the axes that I can use for reverse unless they will develop the same issue.
