January 17, 20233 yr Hello, now that I added rudder pedals to my joystick - not buying a yoke yet - the joystick's rotating handle has no use anymore. Do you have any suggestions? I can't think of a use for it. FWIW, the combo is Thrustmaster T.Flight Full Kit (HOTAS + pedals).
January 17, 20233 yr Hmmm. Steering tiller? I never liked the rotating stick as it would twist some during takeoff, landing and other maneuvers. Probably best to leave it unassigned to prevent in-inadvertent movement. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/

There are a number of acft add-ons now that take a separate axis input for the steering tiller rather than using only rudder pedal steering--with a discrete hardware tiller axis you shouldn't see any significant unwanted control inputs when moving the joystick. I wouldn't leave it assigned to the rudder axis, though.
