August 13, 200718 yr Thanks to all the people who replies to my last post as it helped greatly. I have a new issue (now bear with me - I'm learning) that is just driving me insane. It's probably some stupid stuff that I overlooked, but any help would be great. The issue:1. I have my AFCAD files edited with correct parking.2. I have my airports directory in the correct format.3. I have my aircraft database in the correct format.4. Yes, I copied the new .bgl into the scenery folder. No traffic. Well, I have traffic - but not the traffic that I had added.WHAT AM I MISSING?!I've been sitting in front of my system for HOURS trying so many things and running FSX and what have you. I'm baffled.
August 13, 200718 yr Hi,If this happened to me (and it has), I'd start with a search of the entire FSX folder for EVERY file that starts with "traffic" -- see if there's one in a valid scenery folder that can't be otherwise accounted for.Look at ALL bgl files in the FSX folder by TIME and see if perhaps the 'missing' traffic file was simply MIS-NAMED - you should have a good idea of when it was created/modified. Temporarily move ALL traffic files out of reach, and place one at a time (alone)in a separate (if only temporary) TestTraffic folder and enable it; check what you get. Disable, swap traffic file, re-enable and check. Repeat as needed. Obviously, you wouldn't need to check those with older modified dates. One weakness to drag-and-drop is that sometimes things are dropped in the wrong place...maybe somewhere else on the drive? or another drive?Hope you get it fixed; frustration gets old after a while :(Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
August 13, 200718 yr Heh yeah no joke. That sound like quite the analytical way to approach such a problem. I'm mad that I didn't think of that! Thanks for the kick in the rear!
