January 19, 20233 yr I tune my Logitech radio panels to tower frequency before departure and hear chatter but sometimes the frequency changes before I hear chatter. Presumably, FS-ATC-Chatter is auto-tuning to the nearest facility but none of the options are ticked. I have been using FS and X-ATC-Chatter for a few years and it could simply be that I haven't noticed this happening... just thought I would ask if it is possible to over-ride auto-tuning so chatter will only be heard if the correct frequency on the radio panels is set manually? i9-12900K 3.20GHz | Z690 Hero | 64Gb DDR5 5200MHz | RTX3090 O24G | 2TB Firecuda 530 M.2 | RM1000x | H170i ELITE | Corsair 7000D | Samsung Neo G9 | TrackIR | ButtKicker | HC Bravo | TM TCA Boeing Yoke & TCA Sidestick | TM TPR Pedals | Logitech Multi/Radio Panels | WinWing FCU1/EFIS/MCDU/PAP3MAG/PFP3N/PFP7 | Win 10 | MSFS 2024 | (rev. 08/2025)
January 19, 20233 yr Commercial Member @slicker55 FS-ATC-Chatter does not auto-tune the radios. It could be that MSFS2020's ATC is adjusting the frequency. When you have manually tuned to the tower are you hearing chatter? If not are you seeing any messages in the FS-ATC-Chatter control panel like "Out of Range"? Mark
January 19, 20233 yr Author Hi Mark, Happy New Year... Yes, I hear chatter when tuned to tower and when there is no chatter, 'out of range' appears... Strange how things can come to you whilst taking a shower LOL... sad (maybe), but there I was soaping myself down when I had a sudden brainwave... maybe this has nothing to do with FS-ATC-Chatter? Could this be coming from another source (like MSFS ATC) as you suggest? So, I will load up MSFS and check that I haven't got something accidentally enabled. I don't use ATC in MSFS and therefore don't recall making any changes to the default settings but who knows! Another thought was to do what I normally do but 'not' load FS-ATC-Chatter to see what happens then? January 19, 20233 yr Author Hello again Mark, Can't find anything in MSFS to switch off.... but just came across a similar post where reader said, "I turn voice off but keep my co-pilot silently changing appropriate frequencies (assistant popup) to tune in to the active voices from the app FS-ATC-Chatter for background ambience, Edited August 10, 2021 by peppy197" I can't anything in the App, any idea what peppy197 is referring to (assistant popup)? January 19, 20233 yr I think it's in the settings, Assistance Options, under "piloting", called something like "AI Communications".

Thanks for your suggestion - appreciated ... checked that option ... already set to OFF Just done a flight in A32NX (LKPR Gate 17 - EDDF Gate 19) LKPR, Tower Freq 134.560 set, auto-changed to 131.950 during taxi to RW24 EDDF, Tower Freq 119.905 set, auto-changed to 121.655 on arrival at gate In FS-ATC-Chatter, I have COM1, Play Chatter and Europe (9243) checked and in FS-ATC-Chatter / Settings / Radios, items 1 and 4 checked All frequencies as per Navigraph Charts i9-12900K 3.20GHz | Z690 Hero | 64Gb DDR5 5200MHz | RTX3090 O24G | 2TB Firecuda 530 M.2 | RM1000x | H170i ELITE | Corsair 7000D | Samsung Neo G9 | TrackIR | ButtKicker | HC Bravo | TM TCA Boeing Yoke & TCA Sidestick | TM TPR Pedals | Logitech Multi/Radio Panels | WinWing FCU1/EFIS/MCDU/PAP3MAG/PFP3N/PFP7 | Win 10 | MSFS 2024 | (rev. 08/2025)
January 19, 20233 yr Maybe you have some other add-on installed that is changing the frequency? FS-ATC-Chatter will only change your frequency if you click on an entry in the facility list.
January 19, 20233 yr Author @rcarlson1971 Yes, I think you're right... will take a closer look at all the stuff I've got running i9-12900K 3.20GHz | Z690 Hero | 64Gb DDR5 5200MHz | RTX3090 O24G | 2TB Firecuda 530 M.2 | RM1000x | H170i ELITE | Corsair 7000D | Samsung Neo G9 | TrackIR | ButtKicker | HC Bravo | TM TCA Boeing Yoke & TCA Sidestick | TM TPR Pedals | Logitech Multi/Radio Panels | WinWing FCU1/EFIS/MCDU/PAP3MAG/PFP3N/PFP7 | Win 10 | MSFS 2024 | (rev. 08/2025)
January 21, 20233 yr Author @markcellis @rcarlson1971 Thanks for trying to help... appreciated and it's only right to let you know that I have tracked down the issue and fixed it. Mark, apologies, it was, as you said, nothing to do with FS-ATC-Chatter but your input was really helpful in widening my search for an answer. After some testing, I discovered that GSX Pro utilises key bindings (0-9) for it's menu system and these happen to be the same as the default bindings used by MSFS's Radio ATC menu system. So, if you navigate the GSX Pro menu system using the mouse, you'll be fine but if you use the key bindings, you'll also be sending those keys to MSFS which will activate the respective item in the MSFS Radio ATC menu which, in turn, will change COM1's active frequency. I never use the MSFS ATC system so deleting the default key bindings in MSFS solves my problem. i9-12900K 3.20GHz | Z690 Hero | 64Gb DDR5 5200MHz | RTX3090 O24G | 2TB Firecuda 530 M.2 | RM1000x | H170i ELITE | Corsair 7000D | Samsung Neo G9 | TrackIR | ButtKicker | HC Bravo | TM TCA Boeing Yoke & TCA Sidestick | TM TPR Pedals | Logitech Multi/Radio Panels | WinWing FCU1/EFIS/MCDU/PAP3MAG/PFP3N/PFP7 | Win 10 | MSFS 2024 | (rev. 08/2025)
