January 24, 20233 yr I have very recently acquired a Behringer X Touch Mini with the sole intent of managing the Garmin G1000Nxi in MSFS. I have the Axis and Ohs App and am finding that to be a first class tool easy and quite intuitive to use, for the simpler tasks at least. I still have a way to go to finish the job, however, I don't seem to be able to locate, in any of the events registers that I have looked at, an Event for managing the Heading Bug or to set the Altitude. I have looked primarily in the Autopilot and G1000 Events Registers but have also scanned what I thought might be other likely candidates. I can't find those events and am becoming increasingly confused in my, very amateur, attempts to create those binds for myself. Any pointers please? There are also other things that I haven't located, but haven't looked too deeply into yet: FLC, VS, Nose Up, Nose Down.
January 24, 20233 yr Commercial Member IIRC those are HVars by default. Take a look into the "HTML Variables" section of the events tree. This can be different for every aircraft, there is no "global" solution. In some cases RPN scripting is required. On the flightsim dot to website there are a couple of ready-made templates for the X-Touch with AAO and MSFS, made by talented fellow simmers. Make sure to buy them a coffee if you use their stuff 🙂 Edited January 24, 20233 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
January 25, 20233 yr Author Many thanks. Unbelievably, after around 2hrs of looking at the events on screen, last night, whilst serving my probationary period, I took screen shots of the Events Registers and printed them off. With a piece of paper in front of me I found the ALT VAR Events straight away 🙄. Those are now connected to the X Touch Mini Encoders and work, although only in hundreds of feet with no apparent option for the thousands. I also found FLC & VS. Progress is being made. I have downloaded a G1000Nxi Script from Flightsim.to but don't really understand how to change/modify it yet. There are others that I have looked at but they seem to use 'mobiflight' which, I assume, is a different platform for connecting. Thanks again for your help

On the button assignment dialog there is a numerical box to the right of the Key Down Event - that is where you dial in 100 or 1000. The ALT_VAR events need the correct values to function. Clicking on the question mark symbol in the title bar opens the AAO manual. There is a chapter about "Sending values to events" Edited January 25, 20233 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

You will find them in the same treelist under their specific headers. Edited January 25, 20233 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
January 26, 20233 yr Author Thank you again 👍. I'm working on it and moving ahead slowly - definitely a tortoise rather than a hare. I reckon my 80yr old brain is the biggest obstacle.
