AFG King Air non-clickable gauge problem fixed!

Recommended Posts

The difference of this aircraft over the default?Well, first, it is a King Air 300 vs. a King Air 350. The Model 300 is basically a Model 200 with the (bigger) King Air 350 engines. The 350 is a stretched (10" I think) Model 300. (A Model B300 is actually a King Air 350 so the naming convention used by AFG is incorrect). The AFG plane has a more accurate rendering of the cockpit, flight systems, and I understand flight dynamics, than the default 350. It's not as good as the Aeroworx KA 200, but it is still very good, and it works in FSX (unlike my attempts to get the AW 200 to work in FSX). Plus, this one will continue to be improved. There are some issues: for instance, the fuel crossfeed is not 100% accurately modeled, and the autopilot is not placed correctly in the panel (it belongs on the pedestal). But these issues are fairly inconsequential for use in FS and they will be fixed along with a bunch of other planned improvements. Unfortunately, the main developer recently had to move from Finland to Ireland. Plus, their main goal at the moment is to release a new Caravelle. So it will be a while before any more updates are released, but they are already planned. I would like to see Esa smooth out the window portals in the cabin as it is a lot of fun to sit in the passenger seats and look around during the flight (just hit the "A" key a few times from the VC as I've added passenger seat cameras to the plane).Try it, you won't regret it. It's now become pretty much my default plane. There is a good review of the plane by a real King Air 300 pilot at http://flywestwind.com/communityserver/for...hread/4145.aspx. The plane has since been updated quite a bit due to his and my and several others' input and works very well in FSX if you apply my update listed above.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180
