MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X vs Trio X

Featured Replies

Hello,

I can't decide between the MSI Suprim X or Trio X.
It seems the idle power of the Suprim X is 35 watt where as the Trio is only 18 watt on idle.

Maybe someone can help me out by let me know which MSI card they have an also if they have the Suprim X it's indeed 35 watt idle power.

MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.

I have a Suprim X. Mine idles at 28W. The Suprim X is a Cadillac build. It has better VRM and a better cooling arrangement than the Trio (and most other 4090s). It's also got a slightly higher boost clock and IIRC, a slightly higher BIOS power limit. In real world though that's only going to translate to a marginal default performance improvement and slightly better overclocking (if that matters to you). It really comes down to budget and bragging rights. The Suprim X is a work of art!
