Recent Discovery On Turbulence. Graphics Settings

Featured Replies

Howdy fellow seat shiners 😉

I don't have the fastest chip on the block or graphics card.  I7-10700K 16gigs of ram and a RTX 2070 Super.  Well as we move forward on the sim and more gets added of course we can expect more resources to be taken from are machines etc.

That being said I like the turbulence. Reminds me of hot summer months here in the plains with plenty of thermals and achooo Kansas winds when I was younger shining the seat of a Cessna 172 with my bum. At times i was thinking turbulence was a little wack but I later realized my settings were a little high and I would get the occasional stutter on approach and with the turbulence being fluid dynamic that stutter would catch in the middle of turbulence and seam like the turbulence was out of wack. Well with that said I turned all my settings down to High had too many ultra settings. And it made a world of difference way more fluid on the turbulence.

With that said I am afraid some of the people raising heck about the turbulence may very well have their graphic settings too high.  Just a couple of cents in the bucket to share with my fellow simmers.

P.S. Looking forward to 9000ft per min turbulence to chew are butts up if we think we can fly straight through the middle of a strong thunderstorm. If hail was in the metar it would be cool like back in the day with x-plane 9 it would kick the word not allowed out of your wind screen 😉
