world planner freezes

More often than not, the world map planner freezes on me now after I select the departure and arrival fields. I cannot zoom in and out and add waypoints but I can see the nav profile and enter the game. Weird. A known bug ? 

PS This adds to the already signaled bug of the flight route which doesn't show up in the ingame VFR map

Same world map freeze was happening here for about 10-days last month.  The reason it started was unknown and the reason the problem disappeared and now never occurs is also a mystery.
