August 23, 200718 yr I suddenly developed an elevator control problem in FSX. What is happening is I need to put excessive back stick to takeoff or maintain level flight. Actually, what happens is I porpoise and cannot control the airplane. If I allow the elevator to go to neutral the plane nose dives. I use both CH Control Manger and UPFIC to calibrate my controls. According to both programs the elevator is calibrated correctly. If I use outside view, I can see the elevator move. If I allow the stick to go to neutral, I can see the elevator go to neutral. Then the airplane dives.I tried using an older backup cfg file. No joy! I tried removing the CH map and cms files, no joy. Trim is normal. If I fly with almost full elevator it will stay in the air. Anyone have any idea what is happening. JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer. August 23, 200718 yr You don't mention what control device you are using (other thatnI assume it is CH). If it is a yoke, is the trim wheel centered? I'm not sure what would happen if it was not centered but it was my first thought. R-
August 23, 200718 yr Author I figured it out. It was the CH Manager program. I have never had much luck getting it to work right. I deleted it and got everything to work in FSUIPC. I have the CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Rudder pedals. JohnMy first SIM was a Link Trainer.
