August 23, 200718 yr Something that has bothered me about the default 172. I slew up to 10,000ft drop full flaps, turn off the engine and go into a nose down dive. The airpeed exceeds 240 but the flaps stay on. I pull out of the dive at $2000ft AGL and to failures. Both Crash Detection and Stress Failures are selected in the Realism drop-down menu. August 25, 200718 yr Author I would say it is not modelled correctly. They are tough planes but not THAT tough.
