FSx Locks up At desktop And pauses a lot to load scenery

Featured Replies

Fsx locks up when I alt tab to the desktop.Another problem I am having is fsx pauses a lot to load scenery settings.I have 2gb of system memory and a geforce 6200 Turbo cache video card 512 MB. I am using the latest nvidi vista drivers.

I think that's normal. Hold Ecsape key to get back FS.Some scenery loads can take a long time. I defragg every week.Do you defragg? That might help.CheersPeter Sydney Australia

Yep, I count myself lucky if I get through a flight these days. I change to window view rather than full screen before accessing other applications on the desktop. I think it helps a little.Cheers,Noel.

Thanks I will try suggestions about getting back from the desktop. As to the frequent scenery loading I am talking about the frequency of the scenery loading sometimes I just get in the aircraft and attempt to change freq on the radio and the sim stops and loads the scenery again. This happens during normal flight also.
