Hat Switch/POV will not stay where aimed

Featured Replies

Saitek ST290Pro and Thrustmaster Airbus Flight sticks - I have always used the hat switch to look up, left, right, down and the 45° degree view for each direction.  Prior to yesterday the POV would stay right where I had moved it, e.g. 60° aft to right.

Now - the POV moves to the appropriate location but then slowly migrates back to straight ahead (default cockpit location).  Even if I hold the hat switch hard to the right (for example) the POV will return to straight ahead.

My ST290Pro has been sitting on the shelf for a week and I just plugged it back in and the single engine prop profile came up - but the POV works as described unlike when I moved th eST290Pro to the retired controller shelf.

I've tried locking the Look... but it still migrates forward.

My sensor suite for USB controllers show the switch is generating the correct signal and is NOT changing while the POV is moving forward.

What has changed?

How do I get a POV to stay where I am looking with the hat switch?
