March 3, 20233 yr As shown below, I noticed that with an aircraft like the C152 that does NOT have a GPS unit, when you switch to the external view which shows the different instruments, the Heading/Course display in the upper left corner indicates it is in GPS mode, and I can't switch it out of that to VLOC. C152 On the other hand, in an aircraft like the C172 that does have a GPS unit, I switch the Heading/Course display back and forth between GPS and VLOC modes. And in VLOC I can see the CDI deviation if tuned in to a nearby VOR as shown below. You can't do this with the 152 because the display is locked into GPS mode for some reason. C172 Is the external Heading/Course display being locked in GPS mode for some aircraft like the C152 that don't have a GPS unit perhaps a MSFS bug, or do I need to do something different? Must say, however, it is kind of interesting to see the Wright Flyer in GPS mode! 😉 Thanks, Al Edited March 3, 20233 yr by ark
