March 12, 20233 yr Hey, anyone here using an Amazon USB handbrake for a collective. I bought one and while it's going to be a bit of a challenge to get it mounted to my chair, I'm looking forward to it. For anyone that has one... what did you do to ease or eliminate the spring? The video I watched said to loosen the bolt on the spring to ease it. I'm wondering if it might be best to just take the spring off, but then will it have issues with moving beyond it's limit? What have you done? Edited March 12, 20233 yr by Virtual-Chris
March 15, 20233 yr Author Just to follow up, I removed the spring and replaced it with a nylon spacer that’s about the same length as the spring compressed. This ensures the travel of the piston/sensor doesn’t change, and now it is sans spring. I also loosened the bolt that clamps the lever to the frame so that it moves more freely but still holds its position. Now to mount it. 🙂 Edited March 15, 20233 yr by Virtual-Chris
