Import Issue for Stream Deck Editor

Featured Replies

Im 99.99% sure this is user error, so forgive me for a stupid question as I'm super new. Basically I have downloaded a 32-key XL stream deck profile, but I only own the regular 15 key version. I know you can use the lorby stream deck editor to rearrange the keys and save the profile as a 15 key version, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to actually import the .streamdeckprofile file in there. anywhere where I drag and drop I get a red stop sign symbol and I cannot find an import button. Again, really stupid questions probably but any help would be greatly appreciated!

You don't. You add the profile to the StreamDeck, just like you do with any other SD profile. The Editor is "stateless", it doesn't have any data of its own. It just reads/manipulates what is installed in the Elgato "database".

The Elgato software doesn't care what hardware you have. When you import a 32 button profile, then that is what will be there in the StreamDeck software - but it will only show you the top left 15 buttons, if that is the actual hardware.

Also, make sure to read the description. Since version 6 of the Elgato software came out, the editor is only half functional - it is no longer possible to create new profiles. This must be done in the Elgato software now.
