April 1, 20233 yr Good morning, how are you doing ? I'm going to redo my computer with new parts with new hard drive and new video card etc ..... I have a new submission near my computer store! He wrote me that look good? My question is not too complicated how many airports and planes that my computer can support?? April 1, 20233 yr What video resolution are you planning to run at? A 3060ti is okay for 1440P and below. Only 8 Gb of VRAM may be an issue in the future. Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite AX MB; AMD 7800X3D CPU; Deepcool LT520 AIO Cooler; 64 Gb G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO DDR5 6000; Win11 Pro; P3D V5.4; 1 Samsung 990 2Tb NVMe SSD: 1 Crucial 4Tb MX500 SATA SSD; 1 Samsung 860 1Tb SSD; Gigabyte Aorus Extreme 1080ti 11Gb VRAM; Toshiba 43" LED TV @ 4k; Honeycomb Bravo.
April 2, 20233 yr Author OK on fsx and p3d OK on fsx and p3d maybe fs2020? I want to know how many airports and planes I can install? Airport 150 or 200 planes 100? That's what I want to know
April 2, 20233 yr Your question is odd, but.. Your computer COULD potentially have every plane and airport available. But you’ll need more storage. Your 1TB SSD will fill up pretty fast. I would recommend another SSD if you intend on so many add ons. Luke Pype
April 2, 20233 yr I still don't think we understand the point of your question, You can have as many airports/aircraft as you wish if you have sufficient storage. How much storage you will need is a simple mathematical calculation -- do some research on the file size of the add-ons and add them up. Keep in mind that on SSDs if you are about 90% or more of space usage, you may encounter performance issues. If you mean can you load all 180 airports and 100 planes at the same time, my opinion is no. First of all it would hours to load all of them. Secondly, it may require tons of RAM to have all those in memory. To avoid this, you can either use the add-on activation function in P3D or use a third-party utility such as Lorby's Add-On Manager (freeware). April 2, 20233 yr Author you suggest me what as Ram and hard disk I will take note? I haven't ordered my new parts yet
April 2, 20233 yr I haven't a clue what size storage you will need. As I said above, you will need to make a list of the airports and their file size and add them up. Then you will need to do the same with the aircraft. That is the only way to know how much storage you will need. As far as the RAM goes, there is no standard RAM usage formula to determine that. It varies by developer, what video resolution you are planning to use and the level of detail you choose in P3D. The only thing you could do is to make sure your RAM is upgradable in case you need more. And, if you are really going to load all 180 airports and 100 aircraft, your 5600x will probably be overwhelmed. In fact, probably any current CPU would be taxed to the maximum with that kind of memory load. Best of luck!
