I seem to have many duplicate Userpoints that have accumulated over the years.  Is there an easy way to mange them - to delete them?

Sorry, no easy way yet but this looks like a useful function. I can add this similar to the logbook cleanup maybe even to the next update.

You can sort by ident, select the duplicates with Ctrl+Click and then delete them manually.

Or export all to CSV and then do some magic with LibreOffice Calc or MS Excel.
