May 7, 20233 yr So I bought the Aerosoft A318/319 package and I'm learning how to use the MCDU (FMC). Coming from Boeing FMC's it's significantly different. So far I'm mostly figuring it out ok except when it comes to visually checking my flight plan on the ND. I turn the knob to Plan Mode but I don't see any way to step through the waypoints. I did a web search and found someone said that there is a button on the MCDU called "MFD ADV" which does it but I don't see any button named that on the MCDU anywhere so I'm stuck. I need to make sure my flight plan is ok with no issues before I go flying. I appreciate any advice, thanks.
May 7, 20233 yr Just use the Up- and Down Buttons on the MCDU 😉 Kind regards, Matthias My System: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 64 GB RAM, RTX 4080S, Win11 Pro, MSFS2020
May 7, 20233 yr Omg could it be so simple??? 🤣 Thank you @MatthiasKNU As much as I love study level aircraft, I hated learning to program Boeing FMC's at first. It took me a long time of watching videos and reading through manuals over and over, trying to learn about all of the information I need to know, what it means, how it affects the aircraft systems and then how and where to enter it all in. It didn't help that I had no idea how to plan a proper flight plan that airliners use. The Airbus MCDU is different but not too bad after learning all I did about Boeing FMC's.
