Edit AI parking

Featured Replies

In MSFS, the last big thing that really sticks out to me as something that is noticeably wrong is when AI are parked at gates I know they would never park at. When I used other sims back in the day it was pretty easy to edit AI parking assignments using Airport Design Editor and I used it regularly to customize airports I flew to often and knew well.

I've tried using the MSFS version of ADE, but found most of the time it breaks different parts of airport sceneries when recompiling, and I'm really reluctant to recompile whole add-on sceneries. I know MSFS scenery designers have mostly gotten on board and include AI gate assignments with their sceneries now, but it isn't realistic or feasible to expect them to keep up changes whenever airlines switch gates, or start or end service, or be able to customize parking to only use certain gates for certain aircraft types.

I was just wondering if anyone has been able to successfully edit gate assignments or has any insights into if it will ever be feasible with ADE to just edit AFCADs without breaking the sceneries? I had a poke over on the ADE forum, but it doesn't seem like there's much activity these days?
