  1. I've noticed clouds going all the way down to ground level pretty often since the last update, which also seems like it could be mixing up agl and above sea level? Live weather is still more often far off than close off for me. Im still getting three fairly different weathers - the actual metar, the msfs2020 metar, and the msfs2020 depiction. As far as I'm concerned, the msfs2020 metar should be the same as the real metar, and the depiction should be fairly close to it (though doesn't have to match exactly). Sometimes it's all sort of close, but more often than not it's different enough to even change the active runway, or as in my last flight, mostly cloudy with clouds to ground level when the real world metar said few at 3200.
  2. I've been enjoying a return to some VFR flying, and have been having fun exploring and re-tracing road trips I've done. I look forward to the weather depiction maturing, as it's often not all that close to what's really happening where I live, but happy to live with that now for vfr fun flights. The poor terrain mesh is really jarring anywhere there's any relief though. I look forward to it maturing further so I can some day make it my primary sim for airliners too - mainly looking forward to pmdg, more consistent weather, Ai, and some sort of improved ATC before I make that switch, and it does seem like it will be quite some time before all those pieces are in place. So I'm both waiting and not waiting.
  3. I get that add ons should be installed in a different directory from p3d, but it shouldn't matter whether they're on the same or a different drive though, right?
  4. I've been waiting to see the airports and... Wow!! Not disappointed! One thing I do hope they've thought about that wasn't really mentioned in the video is giving users/developers more control over airport and ai behavior. For example, an interface that allows you to specify active runway(s) according to wind speed and direction, one way taxi links, multiple ground frequencies, etc. Control that will help do away with all of the afcad hacks like the inactive crosswind runways that are needed to have non-parallel runways active, or plumbing to get pull-thru parking spots to work for ai. More control over landings and takeoffs would be good too - being able to set aircraft sizes for start positions so smaller aircraft could takeoff from intersections being able to specify where aircraft on approach receive landing clearance so that user and ai aircraft can be cleared to takeoff or cross runways even if an aircraft is on final being able to specify takeoff clearance points so that you don't have to wait until the hold short line to receive takeoff clearance if there are no other aircraft around having named hold points on taxiways so taxiing aircraft stop at certain points rather than 1 km back from where their path crosses another plane's or the runway.... One way runways so aircraft don't pull 180's right after landing to get to the nearest exit, or taxiways that are weight/wingspan dependent. Just some ideas so that we can get the realism of the plane's movements as realistic as the graphics in this video.
  5. As well as ORBX American Samoa and there's a decent version of Rarotonga / Cook Islands
