May 19, 20233 yr I was trying to find a simple AP Nav toggle selection on the menus for button assignments. The choice "Heading select and Nav arm" doesn't work. How do you do a simple turn on NAV on the AP console command or choice? Not the NAV radios, just the NAV on the AP, Baron 58. So when you have an active flight plan it will execute it..

June 2, 20233 yr On the Cessna 172, you also have to twiddle the heading bug to your intended course. The auto pilot will then calculate and intercept the radial, as it sees fit. It decides the most appropriate intercept angle. It's a bit weird. The B58 is a bit different, I think. So, tune in, select course, hit NAV, twiddle heading bug within a few seconds. Also, and again n the C-172, pressing NAV twice (when in GPS mode), turns on GPSS. The aircraft then progresses from GPS waypoint to GPS waypoint. Edited June 2, 20233 yr by The_Flying_Potato
