June 17, 20232 yr I have prepar3d V5. I downloaded the DEMO for MCE and then purchased it. I got my serial number and license key. When I launch MCE I go through the MCE wizard with no issues. However, when I try launching MCE it says trying to connect to flight simulator than after a while it gives me a message saying that it can't retrieve FS data. I have checked that fsinsider64.dll is in prepar3d folder and it is. Thanks

Go to C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D V5\ Open "dll.xml" using Notepad only. Check that you have these lines (they're expected to be added by the app wizard (setup program) automatically. Sometimes may not happen. <Launch.Addon> <Name>Multi Crew Experience</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>fsInsider64.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> If you installed P3D V5 AFTER installing MCE, just re-run the wizard, without going through speech training. Otherwise, manually add those lines right before the last line showing "</SimBase.Document>" Once the dll gets loaded, MCE will be able to communicate with the sim. Also ensure you have a <MCE dlls> folder in \Prepar3D v5\ installation folder, with about 40+ dlls, one for each supported complex plane. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
