I don't know if this is the right place if it isn't I apologise in advance. That being said, I have a stupid question. I've been away from MSFS 2020 for quite some time taking care of my special needs child and updated MSFS 2020 a few days ago. I got this set of tones when I turn my headlamp on and off. It's quite annoying and I was wondering if there's a way to turn the notification tones off since it kind of buggs the dickens out of me. Any help with this annoyance would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean the alt+l light? I thought it was a flashlight, but it's saved me a couple of times, using it to find the light switches I forgot to turn on before it got dark. But I never got any aural warning in connection with turning that light on or off. It worked fine for me. Sure are a lot of strange things going on in this sim. Sorry, no clue other than switching the computer sound off temporarily, as I still haven't seen a simple sim sound on/off switch like the q key. Nor for that matter a simple pause function like p, not some fancy pause, just a simple pause that pauses everything.

Posting on the MSFS dedicated forum  Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) - The AVSIM Community would bring you a quicker answer. A mod could maybe move your post there ?

I don't have this tone when switching on the flashlight. Maybe a case of double binding of the ALT-L ?
