October 21, 200718 yr Commercial Member Well, the problem isn't so much elevation of the airport. The problem is in the flatness. No matter what you change the elevation to, you're still going to have the flatness problem. In other words, when you see a runway threshold on a plateau, in most cases the other end of the runway is fine. But if you lower the plateau'd end to match the terrain, the other end of it ends up in a depression. Danged if you do, danged if you don't.The only truly acceptable solution is for FS to be able to properly depict non-flat airports and runways, which comprise 99.99% of the runways in the world. In the meantime, "massaging" the local terrain somehow seems to be the best work-around.-------Justinhttp://www.fsgenesis.netHigh Quality Scenery for FS200x ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
