AAO won't start anymore; Critical configuration error

Featured Replies

Hi,

Started getting this error now suddenly. Just worked fine 1h hour ago, but when I booted my computer, AAO gives this error.

I reinstalled a few times already with restarts in between. Checked that there are no leftover files either in the installation folder.

Google says it's some C# common error.

What can I do to fix this?

No, this is not a C# common error - this is a last resort from the app telling you that something compromised the app database or configuration files.

The Windows config files for the app are here:
C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\LWR
You can just delete the entire LWR folder and try if that fixes it.

The AAO database is here:
C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\LORBY_SI
Check out the chapter in manual called "File handling". All critical files are saved in multiple generations, so you can recover your database using an older copy - provided that you didn't try to start it so many times that you have overwritten all of them.

When in doubt, send an email with your proof of purchase to the support address (last page of the AAO manual).

Thanks, got it working now.

Deleting LWR folder didn't work, so I restored that folder and tried the configdatabase file backup from a backup time when it worked - no problems anymore.
